Yes, cats are independent animal that can take care themselves and sleep many hours during the day. But they can’t cook their meal or go supermarket and order a pack of cat nip on their own. A proper feeding time for cat is twice a day, having a buffet style for cat is not a good idea. Which I mean your cat bowl is always fill with food. Your cat will tend to expect food is always there and likely to be an overweight cat with such habit.

The word “Divination” shares the same root in Latin as divine, meaning scared, godly or pertaining to the heavenly realm. Since kittens are so active and appealing more kittens are being adopted than adult cats, therefore adult cats has a lower adoption rate at adoption shelters Adopting an adult cat is nearly the same as adopting a kitten. Living in a loving environment, a grown cat forms just as tight bond with his new owner as any kitten can when times go by.
There are a few reasons why adopting a mature cat is an advantage. Adopting a mature cat means less maintenance and they are also independent therefore they are perfect for busy people. Kittens, however has a more demanding stage of maintenance than an adult cat, as kittens are young and they are also at their growing stage and are not as independent as an adult cat. The aim of this post is to help a cat owner find out why your cat is doing so and what can be done to help both the cat and the owner. Cats like clean and quiet places to do their toilet business. They will do their business if the litter you provide them is consistently at the same place (some can even be trained to use a toilet bowl). But when there is a sudden change in this daily routine, it can be a clear warning sign that the cat is sick or in a state of stress. Some of these problems can be spotted quickly and can be treated or solved. Continue reading
When you realize that your cat does not respond when you call her name, she may have grown old and has started to lose her hearing. Or if you have just rescued a kitten or a grown-up cat that does not respond to sound, it is most likely that they are deaf.
The best course of action is not to assume, and bring her to the vet for a checkup. If it turns out that she has indeed lost her hearing, taking care of a deaf cat will prove to be a challenge. Firstly, you have to change the way you communicate with the cat.

There are so many cats around the globe that are well known to the world of cat lovers. Let me name a few: Grumpy cat and her brother Pokey, Cooper the photographer cat, Bob the street cat , Yoda a cat with 4 ears and the 2-faced cat that miraculously survived, Frank and Louie. But there is a darker side of the cat world where many other strays and feral cats suffer in silence and shadow.
In Singapore, there is a big-headed ginger Tom cat named Scarface. Judging from his name, one should know that his face is obviously scarred. He suffered multiple injuries on his face due to countless fights with other male cats. If there is a cat version of MMA, I’m sure he would have made an imposing heavyweight champion.
Here is his story: he lived at Marine Terrace and why he was there in the 1st place, no one knows. He is the main cause of unhappy residents who wanted him to be removed. Residents complained that he was creating a lot of noise during fights. Continue reading
