This will help to reduce the pain of the patient and help to lower the blood pressure and improves breathing. As for depressed and brain disorder person who is always distracted by the surrounding of noise and activity, bonding them with therapy cats tend to help them to progress faster as cats are quiet and clam.
Cats able to heal human emotion too. Emotionally affected person such as a lost of a family member, these cats are able to provide comfort to them. These group of people usually needs a space of their own and do not like to be judge. By directing them to these cats, it can make them to share their feeling and sorrow.

Oscar, a therapy cat at Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rhode Island. He is able to predict a patient death. He will walk to the patient room and lies with him or her. Usually the patient will die after several hours. This will allow the nurse to inform the patient family in advance. Oscar have predicted more than 50 patient death.
Winnie, reside with the Keesling family in Newcastle, Indiana. One of the night Winnie saved the whole family life. She smells carbon monoxide fumes and jumped on Keesling bed, meow loudly till she woke up. The family of 3, include Keesling husband Erick and her 14 year old son Michael escaped death although all 3 have been poisoned by the fumes but recover after treatment.
Bob, a ginger stray cat. Rescued by a drug addict James Bowen. After treatment, Bob stayed loyal to James Bowen. Both created a special bond and nothing can separate from there on. And that changed James life from being a drug addict to an author who wrote a book “A Street Cat name Bob“.
